It is with great sadness that the Sturges Family announces the passing of Sandy Sturges, after a very brief and very much one-sided bout with cancer.

SPRINGTIME FOR STURGES
Films of eight of Sturges's early screenplays (before he became a director) will be shown at The Film Forum from the 1st through the 6th of April 2005. Six days, eight films, plus Tom Sturges in person for the 8:00PM shows on the 1st and 2nd.

SAD PASSING.
Mr.
Edwin Gillette, long-time secretary to Preston Sturges
during the early days at Paramount (1935-41), passed
away at his home in Los Angeles. He was 92. He is a
featured interviewee in the Emmy-winning documentary
THE RISE AND FALL OF AN AMERICAN DREAMER.

IN THE FAMILY:
Louise Sturges
(1909-2000), third wife of Preston Sturges, mother of Solomon
Sturges, IV (Mon), and grandmother of actress Shannon Sturges,
died in Los Angeles on October 20th.
FIRST
GREAT GRANDCHILD:
On September
6, 2001, Jack Enzo Kelley was born to Shannon Sturges and Michael
Kelley, their first baby, and the first great-grandchild of
Preston Sturges. The Sturges and Kelley clans invite you to
rejoice with us.
THE
WINNER:
Preston
Sturges, the younger, won the Valley Theatre League 2001 Artistic
Director Achievement Award for Author Original Play for his
play, THE SPLIT. Vats of champagne were swilled.
