CRITERION SET TO RELEASE TO RELEASE TWO STURGES DVD's Criterion  has scheduled 21 August 2001 as the street date for Sullivan's Travels and The Lady Eve on DVD, under license from Universal Home Video. Criterion has worked very closely with the family to ensure that these two releases will be nothing short of amazing - and they have succeeded. In addition to the digital quality motion pictures, there will be never before heard home recordings of Mr. Sturges at his piano and the complete 90 minute version of the Emmy Award winning American Masters documentary The Rise And Fall Of An American Dreamer. Likewise there will be an introduction by film critic and auteur (and Sopranos star) Peter Bogdonovich. An interview with Mrs. Sturges will also be included. Original artwork and technical credits are perfect.
