LOST WORK FOUND

Preston Sturges' first dramatic effort was a play entitled The Guinea Pig. It ran for a month in 1927, and then completely disappeared...for the next 70 years!

A director named Kent Paul inquired if the family or UCLA had a copy, which we were surprised to learn that we did not. But we put the word out that we were looking for it, and a Mr. Keith Burns appeared. He is a respected collector of Preston Sturges memorabilia, and it turned out he had the last copy in the world of the play.

Since, The Guinea Pig has been submitted to several respected houses and hopefully will be presented soon.
